Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans with meticulous attention to compliance with OPM and IRS regulations
- Process retirement applications and benefit calculations for federal employees and annuitants
- Conduct audits of pension accounts to ensure accuracy and detect potential fraud
- Develop and implement process improvements for pension plan administration workflows
- Provide expert guidance to federal agencies on pension plan policies and procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance pension management systems and data analytics
- Prepare comprehensive reports on pension plan performance and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pension plan administration or benefits management
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS) and associated regulations
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Oracle HCM, ADP)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data and regulations
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, CCP, or SPHR) preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
