Responsibilities
- Manage and administer federal pension plans ensuring compliance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Process retirement claims and benefit calculations with precision and confidentiality
- Conduct comprehensive audits of pension fund investments and actuarial reports
- Provide expert guidance to federal agencies on retirement plan design and compliance
- Develop training materials for HR professionals on pension administration best practices
- Collaborate with legal teams on pension litigation and regulatory changes
- Generate analytical reports on pension fund performance and sustainability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in pension administration or employee benefits
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS) and ERISA
- Proficiency in pension management software (e.g., Millennium, Empyrean)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder training and documentation
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QPA, or CFA) preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
