Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including TSP, FERS, and CSRS with meticulous compliance oversight
- Conduct complex benefit calculations and retirement eligibility determinations
- Develop strategic policy recommendations for pension fund optimization and risk mitigation
- Lead audits of plan investments and vendor performance ensuring fiduciary standards
- Provide expert guidance to federal employees on retirement planning and benefits
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on pension system modernization initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for congressional and regulatory review
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or Public Administration required
- Minimum 5 years' experience in pension administration or employee benefits
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and federal pension codes
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, CFA, or QPA) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in pension administration software and data analysis tools
- Exceptional analytical skills with complex financial modeling capabilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
