Responsibilities
- Analyze pension plan documents for ERISA compliance and fiduciary responsibility
- Conduct on-site examinations of plan operations and financial records
- Investigate participant complaints and potential plan violations
- Develop corrective action plans for non-compliant plans
- Provide technical guidance to plan sponsors and fiduciaries
- Prepare comprehensive examination reports with clear recommendations
- Collaborate with legal teams on enforcement actions when necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or benefits compliance experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and DOL reporting requirements
- Strong analytical skills for complex financial data interpretation
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Federal security clearance eligibility required
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, CCP) preferred
