Responsibilities
- Manage pension enrollment processes and documentation for public sector employees
- Analyze retirement benefit calculations and eligibility requirements
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual pension plan compliance reviews
- Develop educational materials and conduct workshops on retirement planning
- Maintain accurate participant records using specialized pension administration software
- Respond to inquiries regarding pension policies and retirement options
- Collaborate with finance department on budget forecasting for pension obligations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Proficiency with pension management software (e.g., Millennium, UltiPro)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA and IRS pension regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) designation preferred
- Experience with government accounting standards (GASB)
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
