Responsibilities
- Analyze and process federal pension applications ensuring compliance with ERISA and TSP regulations
- Conduct complex benefit calculations for CSRS/FERS retirement plans
- Provide expert guidance to federal retirees on annuity options and survivor benefits
- Collaborate with HR departments to resolve retirement plan discrepancies
- Utilize Secure Access Management systems for sensitive data processing
- Prepare detailed reports on pension plan metrics and compliance status
- Train agency personnel on retirement plan procedures and updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or federal benefits experience
- Proficiency in federal retirement systems (e.g., HRConnect, EBIS)
- Strong analytical skills for benefit calculations and compliance verification
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder guidance
- Federal background investigation clearance eligibility
- Knowledge of ERISA, FERS, CSRS, and TSP regulations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
