- Conduct benefit eligibility assessments using federal regulations (ERISA, TSP) and agency-specific guidelines
- Provide personalized retirement counseling to participants via phone and in-person appointments
- Coordinate with third-party administrators and legal teams to resolve complex benefit disputes
- Prepare quarterly compliance reports and maintain accurate participant records in federal systems
- Develop educational materials on pension optimization strategies for diverse employee demographics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years' experience with retirement plans, federal benefits, or compliance administration
- Proficiency in federal benefits software (e.g., HRConnect, BENEFITS) and MS Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex pension regulations and legislation
- Excellent communication abilities with multicultural sensitivity
- Federal background investigation clearance eligibility
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, CFP) preferred
