Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal pension regulations including ERISA and IRS guidelines
- Conduct audits of pension plan documents and financial records for accuracy
- Provide technical guidance to plan sponsors and participants regarding retirement benefits
- Investigate and resolve pension-related complaints and discrepancies
- Prepare comprehensive reports on pension plan status and regulatory adherence
- Collaborate with legal teams on complex pension litigation matters
- Develop educational materials for pension plan administrators
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or regulatory compliance experience
- Proficiency with ERISA, IRS 401(k), and multi-employer pension regulations
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or similar designation preferred
- Advanced knowledge of fiduciary responsibilities and prohibited transactions
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interpret complex legal and financial documents
