Responsibilities
- Manage and administer municipal pension plans ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and disbursements
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and reporting for pension portfolios
- Develop and implement strategic investment strategies for pension fund growth
- Collaborate with legal and HR teams on policy updates and legislative changes
- Provide expert guidance to employees on retirement planning and benefits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or retirement planning experience
- Certified Public Pension Administrator (CPPA) designation preferred
- Proficiency in pension management software (e.g., Millennium, Oracle)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Texas pension laws
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Valid Texas driver's license
