Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan enrollment, disbursements, and retirement benefit calculations
- Process and reconcile pension contributions from multiple government departments
- Generate comprehensive reports for financial audits and regulatory compliance
- Respond to complex pension inquiries from retirees and agency representatives
- Utilize proprietary government software for benefit administration and data analysis
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual compliance reviews
- Maintain confidential employee records in accordance with federal privacy laws
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration
- 3+ years of pension plan or benefits administration experience
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and government financial systems
- Knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and Georgia pension laws
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for complex calculations
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QPA) preferred
