Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans including contribution calculations, benefit disbursements, and record maintenance
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (ERISA, ORS) and internal audit requirements
- Process retirement applications and provide accurate benefit projections to participants
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual compliance reviews
- Manage pension fund investments and performance reporting
- Develop and maintain accurate participant databases and documentation systems
- Respond to participant inquiries and resolve complex benefit issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in pension administration or government finance
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Oregon pension statutes
- Proficiency with financial software (e.g., Oracle PeopleSoft, SAP)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder interactions
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QKA) preferred
