Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive ERISA compliance audits of multi-employer pension plans
- Investigate and resolve fiduciary breach complaints with actionable recommendations
- Develop technical guidance documents for plan sponsors on fiduciary responsibilities
- Analyze complex plan documents for prohibited transaction violations
- Coordinate with IRS and DOL enforcement teams on cross-agency investigations
- Testify as expert witness in civil litigation proceedings
- Maintain national database of pension plan compliance metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration or compliance experience
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or ERISA Fiduciary designation required
- Advanced knowledge of ERISA, IRS Code 401(k), and multi-employer plan rules
- Proficiency in pension audit software (e.g., PensionPro, PlanRight)
- Strong analytical skills for complex benefit calculations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
