Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including TSP, FERS, and CSRS systems
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and federal retirement statutes
- Conduct benefit calculations and provide retirement counseling to federal employees
- Develop and implement pension plan policies and procedures
- Analyze pension fund performance and recommend investment strategies
- Prepare comprehensive reports for OMB and congressional oversight committees
- Lead training programs for HR professionals on pension administration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of pension plan administration experience
- SPCE or QKA certification required
- Proficiency with federal benefits systems (e.g., BENEFITS, HRIS)
- Expert knowledge of federal retirement regulations (5 CFR Parts 840-845)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in pension fund modeling
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder presentations
