Responsibilities
- Manage and administer federal pension plans, ensuring adherence to ERISA and OPM regulations
- Analyze complex retirement benefit scenarios using actuarial modeling tools
- Develop and implement compliance strategies for multi-employer pension systems
- Conduct audits of pension fund investments and financial reporting
- Advise federal employees on retirement planning options and eligibility requirements
- Collaborate with legal teams to resolve pension disputes and benefit appeals
- Prepare comprehensive reports on plan health and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in pension administration or employee benefits management
- Strong knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS) and IRS regulations
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QKA, or CFA) highly desirable
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, FIS)
- Exceptional analytical skills with experience in actuarial calculations
