Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor federal pension plans ensuring ERISA and DOL regulatory compliance
- Conduct complex benefit calculations and retirement projections for federal employees
- Develop and implement pension policy improvements aligned with federal mandates
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams on pension litigation and audit responses
- Lead retirement planning workshops and provide one-on-one employee counseling
- Analyze pension fund performance and recommend investment strategy adjustments
- Prepare comprehensive reports for OMB and congressional stakeholders
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in pension plan administration or employee benefits
- Advanced certification (CEBS, QPA, or CCP) or equivalent federal credentials
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and federal retirement systems
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Benefitfocus, Alight)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in pension financial modeling
