Responsibilities
- Assist in daily pension plan administration including contribution calculations and benefit verifications
- Support compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and Illinois Pension Code requirements
- Process member enrollments, terminations, and retirement applications with accuracy
- Prepare monthly reports and financial statements for fund stakeholders
- Respond to member inquiries regarding pension benefits and plan provisions
- Collaborate with investment and audit teams on financial reconciliations
- Document all plan activities according to established protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in pensions, benefits, or financial services
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Basic knowledge of government pension structures preferred
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
