Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain comprehensive pension plan records for city employees
- Process retirement distributions and ensure compliance with ERISA and Georgia pension regulations
- Conduct eligibility audits and resolve complex pension-related inquiries
- Collaborate with finance and HR departments to update retirement plan documents
- Generate analytical reports for municipal leadership and regulatory bodies
- Implement pension policy changes and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Serve as night shift point person for urgent pension-related matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or government finance experience
- Proficiency in pension management software (e.g., Millennium, Albridge)
- Deep understanding of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and Georgia pension laws
- Strong analytical skills with attention to numerical precision
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Government security clearance preferred
