Responsibilities
- Process pension applications, disbursements, and benefit adjustments with 99.9% accuracy
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone and digital channels during night shift hours
- Interpret complex pension regulations (ERISA, IRS Code 414) and update internal procedures
- Conduct benefit audits and resolve discrepancies using specialized pension software
- Collaborate with finance teams for quarterly reporting and year-end reconciliations
- Maintain confidential retirement records in compliance with HIPAA and data privacy laws
- Train night shift staff on pension plan updates and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or benefits management experience
- Advanced knowledge of government retirement systems (OPERS, STRS preferred)
- Proficiency in pension management software (e.g., Oracle HCM, PeopleSoft)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for complex calculations
- Ability to work independently during night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Series 7 or Series 63 securities license a plus
- Ohio state residency required within 6 months of hire
