Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan administration including enrollment, distributions, and compliance with ERISA and government regulations
- Analyze financial data and projections to ensure plan solvency and recommend strategic adjustments
- Provide expert guidance to participants on retirement planning, investment options, and benefit calculations
- Collaborate with auditors, legal counsel, and stakeholders to ensure regulatory adherence and best practices
- Develop and maintain accurate participant records and reporting systems
- Conduct outreach and educational workshops for employees nearing retirement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in pension plan administration or employee benefits management
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and California pension laws
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Benefitfocus)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills for participant education and stakeholder collaboration
- Professional designation (e.g., CEBS, CFA, CPA) preferred
