Responsibilities
- Administer pension fund operations including contributions, disbursements, and record maintenance
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, and Missouri state pension regulations
- Process retirement applications and provide benefit counseling to public employees
- Analyze pension fund data and prepare quarterly/annual financial reports
- Collaborate with auditors and legal teams during compliance reviews
- Develop educational materials for pension plan participants
- Utilize specialized pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Oracle)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(a) regulations, and Missouri state pension laws
- Proficiency in pension administration software and data analysis tools
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex pension concepts
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with remote supervision
- Government or public sector experience preferred
- CPP (Certified Pension Professional) designation highly desirable
