Responsibilities
- Administer and audit federal pension plans in accordance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Process retirement applications and benefit calculations with 99.7% accuracy
- Provide night-shift support for urgent pension inquiries and claims resolution
- Conduct compliance audits for TSP and FERS/CSRS systems
- Generate quarterly compliance reports for agency leadership
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on regulatory updates
- Maintain secure digital records of pension transactions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Federal benefits certification (e.g., CBP or FP) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in TSP and FERS systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to regulatory detail
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours
- Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience with federal payroll systems (e.g., NSPS)
