Responsibilities
- Manage and process retirement benefit applications for state and local government employees
- Conduct comprehensive pension plan calculations and financial modeling
- Ensure strict compliance with ERISA, IRS, and Arizona State pension regulations
- Respond to participant inquiries via secure after-hours communication channels
- Collaborate with investment teams on portfolio performance analysis
- Prepare monthly and quarterly compliance reports for regulatory bodies
- Maintain accurate participant records in pension administration systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in pension administration or benefits management
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k), and public pension regulations
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Benefit Systems)
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QPA) strongly preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Valid U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain government security clearance
