Key Responsibilities
- Manage High-Volume Inquiries: Handle a high volume of phone calls and emails regarding pension plans, retirement eligibility, and benefit calculations during night shifts.
- Process Applications: Accurately review and process new pension applications and amendment requests for state employees.
- Data Integrity: Maintain precise records in our pension management systems, ensuring all data entry is error-free and up-to-date.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all pension processing adheres to state and federal government regulations, including ERISA and state-specific pension laws.
- Collaborative Support: Work closely with the day-shift HR team to resolve complex discrepancies and escalate urgent issues.
- Customer Service: Provide clear, empathetic, and professional guidance to retirees and employees regarding their pension statements and benefits.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in pension administration, government benefits processing, or a related financial role.
- Shift Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM) on a rotating schedule.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) and experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) or pension software.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to manage sensitive financial data with the highest level of accuracy.
