Responsibilities
- Administer and calculate pension benefits in strict accordance with Illinois state statutes and ISRS guidelines.
- Provide expert guidance and support to members regarding retirement eligibility, survivor benefits, and refund options.
- Conduct rigorous data audits to ensure the integrity of member records and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to interpret complex pension legislation.
- Manage high-volume inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence with professionalism and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, government benefits, or actuarial support.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and pension management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to regulatory compliance and accuracy.
