Responsibilities
- Process pension enrollment forms and retirement benefit applications with meticulous accuracy
- Calculate pension benefits using state-specific formulas and regulatory guidelines
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding retirement plans, eligibility, and distribution options
- Maintain confidential pension records and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Collaborate with finance teams on annual pension valuations and reporting requirements
- Conduct periodic pension plan audits and documentation reviews
- Prepare educational materials for pre-retirement seminars and employee workshops
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pension administration, benefits, or financial services
- Proficiency with Excel, HRIS systems, and pension-specific software (e.g., Empower, FIS)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Texas pension statutes
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
- Proven attention to detail with error-free record maintenance
- Ability to work independently while adhering to strict compliance deadlines
