Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including CSRS and FERS with meticulous attention to detail
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and survivor annuities
- Conduct compliance audits and ensure adherence to ERISA and OPM regulations
- Develop and implement pension policy improvements for federal agencies
- Provide expert guidance to federal employees on retirement planning options
- Collaborate with Treasury and OPM on pension fund management strategies
- Generate comprehensive reports on pension plan financial health and trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of pension administration or federal benefits experience
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, CERA, or Series 7/63 license)
- Expert knowledge of federal retirement systems (CSRS/FERS) and TSP
- Advanced proficiency in pension management software and Excel modeling
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
