As a key member of our Pension Administration Division, you'll ensure compliance with ERISA, Florida Statutes, and IRS regulations while delivering exceptional service to retirees and beneficiaries. This hybrid role combines remote work with occasional in-person collaboration in Jacksonville.
Responsibilities
- Administer defined benefit pension plans for 1.2 million+ Florida public employees
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and survivor claims with 99% accuracy
- Conduct financial modeling and actuarial analysis for pension fund sustainability
- Develop compliance reports for State Board of Administration and legislative oversight
- Train HR partners and agency staff on pension policies and procedures
- Lead system optimization for our $200B pension fund administration platform
- Respond to complex pension inquiries from retirees and beneficiaries within 24 hours
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of pension administration or retirement benefits experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(a) regulations, and Florida Statutes 121.01
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Milliman, Broadridge)
- FINRA Series 65 or CFA designation preferred
- Proven ability to manage high-volume transactions with zero tolerance for errors
- Experience with remote work protocols and secure data handling
