Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including TSP and FERS with precision and regulatory compliance
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and distribution requests
- Provide exceptional customer service to federal employees via phone, email, and weekend shifts
- Conduct pension plan audits and documentation reviews for accuracy
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve complex pension issues
- Stay updated on federal pension legislation (ERISA, OPM guidelines) and implement changes
- Generate reports on pension plan performance and employee participation metrics
- Maintain confidential records and ensure data security protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of pension plan administration or federal benefits experience
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems (TSP, FERS, CSRS) and ERISA regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in complex calculations
- Excellent communication abilities for explaining technical pension concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pension management software (e.g., PeopleSoft)
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) with minimal supervision
- Federal security clearance eligibility or existing clearance preferred
