Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan records, contributions, and disbursements with 100% accuracy
- Calculate retirement benefits and ensure compliance with ERISA and Arizona state regulations
- Process employee enrollment changes, terminations, and benefit inquiries
- Generate monthly/quarterly reports for city council and audit committees
- Collaborate with HR and payroll departments to maintain data integrity
- Conduct annual plan audits and resolve discrepancies promptly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Certified Pension Administrator (CPA) designation preferred
- Expertise in ERISA, IRS 401(k), and Arizona retirement regulations
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Empower, Millennium)
- Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays with flexible weekday availability
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
