Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan enrollment, eligibility verification, and benefit calculations
- Process retirement applications and distribute accurate benefit payments
- Conduct compliance reviews and ensure adherence to state/federal regulations
- Respond to participant inquiries via phone/email during weekend shift hours
- Maintain detailed pension records and generate performance reports
- Collaborate with finance teams on fund reconciliations and audits
- Train staff on pension policy updates and procedural changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Proficiency with pension software (e.g., Oracle HCM, PeopleSoft)
- Deep understanding of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Illinois pension laws
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to financial detail
- Strong written/verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Professional certification (e.g., QKA, ASPA) preferred
