Responsibilities
- Process and review pension benefit requests, applications, and correspondence with high accuracy.
- Respond to inquiries from retirees, beneficiaries, and employers regarding pension status and calculations.
- Assist in the reconciliation of pension data and the maintenance of accurate employee records.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve complex pension discrepancies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for all pension participants.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required for state compliance.
- Utilize computer systems to input data and generate correspondence efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain data integrity under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen as required for state employment.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new policies and procedures.
