Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police officers and emergency services using CAD/RADAR systems
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide critical information to first responders during active incidents
- Operate radio equipment and multi-line telephone systems
- Utilize mapping software for precise location tracking
- Remain calm and professional during high-stress crisis situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic computer proficiency and typing speed (40+ WPM)
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Clear communication skills (verbal/written)
- U.S. citizenship and valid Indiana driver's license
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Must be 18+ years old
