Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems with 100% accuracy
- Dispatch police/fire/EMS units via radio and digital channels during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incident activities
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during complex emergencies
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to callers
- Operate NCIC/FCIC databases for background checks and warrants
- Train on advanced protocols including active shooter and disaster response
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
- Pass background check and polygraph examination
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized software
- Strong situational judgment and decision-making skills
