Responsibilities
- Receive, screen, and process incoming emergency and non-emergency calls for service with speed and accuracy.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical units to incident locations using CAD software.
- Maintain precise logs and records of all calls, incidents, and unit status.
- Communicate critical information to field officers and other agencies in real-time.
- Provide assistance and information to the public in a calm and professional manner.
- Monitor radio frequencies and update incident status throughout the duration of calls.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to type at least 30 words per minute (training provided).
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and in high-stress situations.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
