Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS resources
- Operate CAD/RMS systems and maintain accurate incident documentation
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale emergencies
- Maintain radio communication with field units and external agencies
- Perform data entry and generate daily activity reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- Minimum 1 year public safety dispatch or customer service experience
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Certified in NENA APCO or equivalent dispatch protocols
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish highly desirable
