Responsibilities
- Receive, prioritize, and dispatch emergency/non-emergency calls across police, fire, and medical channels
- Operate multi-channel radio systems, CAD software, and 911 infrastructure with precision
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions and de-escalation techniques during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed call logs and digital records per state compliance standards
- Collaborate with field units during active incidents and major community events
- Participate in continuous training for new technologies and emergency protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Clear speaking ability with strong communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive during high-pressure emergency situations
- Basic computer proficiency and aptitude for learning technical systems
- Valid California driver's license and clean background record
- Minimum age 18 with U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
