Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching appropriate police units and resources
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment with precision
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Provide critical information to officers and other emergency services
- Perform multitasking under pressure during critical incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and ethical standards
- Complete mandatory training programs to achieve certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive during emergencies
