Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls with calm precision and prioritize emergency responses
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems to coordinate police units
- Maintain detailed logs of all incidents and communications
- Provide critical information to field officers during active situations
- Multi-task between radio channels, phone lines, and digital systems
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols for sensitive information
- Participate in ongoing training to master dispatch procedures and technology
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to remain composed under extreme pressure
- Proficiency with basic computer systems
- US citizenship or legal authorization to work
