Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using CAD systems
- Dispatch police units, fire services, and medical responders
- Maintain accurate radio logs and incident documentation
- Provide critical information to officers during active incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses for major emergencies
- Operate specialized communication equipment (NCIC, 911 systems)
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- US citizenship and valid driver's license
- Pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to work rotating shifts (24/7 operations)
- Clear speaking voice and excellent diction
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must be 21 years of age or older
