Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using EMD protocols
- Operate radio systems to dispatch police, fire, and EMS units
- Enter and maintain accurate incident data in CAD systems
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale emergencies
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
- Complete mandatory training programs to achieve full certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows OS)
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
