Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional precision and empathy
- Operate CAD/RMS systems to dispatch appropriate units using advanced protocols
- Maintain accurate real-time incident documentation in compliance with NIMS standards
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents (fire, EMS, police)
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Monitor radio communications across multiple channels simultaneously
- Participate in rigorous scenario-based training simulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 60 WPM typing certification
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass comprehensive background investigation and polygraph
- Experience in high-stress customer service or crisis management
- Proficiency with computer-aided dispatch systems
- Fluency in English; bilingual Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese strongly preferred
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
