Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls using EMD protocols
- Operate radio systems to dispatch police units
- Input and maintain accurate CAD records
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via EMD
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Maintain situational awareness during ongoing operations
- Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- Strong multitasking and communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must be 18+ years old
