Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls with high accuracy and speed.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical units to incident locations using CAD systems.
- Provide critical information to field personnel and update them on evolving situations.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all communications and unit activity.
- Assist the public with inquiries and provide directions or resources as needed.
- Monitor radio frequencies and alert officers to traffic stops, hazards, or requests for assistance.
- Collaborate with other emergency services to coordinate multi-agency responses.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to type at least 35-40 words per minute.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under stressful and emergency conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and insurability required.
- No felony convictions (subject to background check).
