Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Operate radio systems and dispatch appropriate personnel to incidents
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all communications
- Utilize CAD systems for real-time tracking of field units
- Provide critical information to officers and other agencies
- Remain calm under pressure during high-stress situations
- Adhere to strict protocols and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Clear communication and strong listening skills
- Basic computer proficiency and typing ability (40 WPM)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions; clean background check
- Valid driver's license
- Pass pre-employment testing and psychological evaluation
