Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Operate radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses
- Enter and maintain detailed information in CAD/RMS systems
- Provide critical guidance to callers during emergency situations
- Dispatch appropriate units to incident locations
- Multi-task between phone, radio, and computer systems
- Follow departmental protocols during crisis scenarios
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (will be tested)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- No felony convictions
