Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police officers, fire units, and medical services using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate incident logs and documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers in emergency situations
- Operate radio equipment and maintain constant communication channels
- Adhere to all FCC regulations and department protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age
- U.S. citizenship and valid Ohio driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive during high-stress situations
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanor offenses
