Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize 911/emergency calls with calm professionalism
- Dispatch police officers and emergency services using CAD/RAD systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide clear instructions to callers during emergency situations
- Operate radio equipment and communication technologies
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA/GDPR protocols
- Participate in continuous training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Basic computer proficiency with typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- No criminal history (felony/misdemeanor disqualifications apply)
