Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems with extreme accuracy
- Provide critical life-saving instructions to callers during emergencies
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses (fire, EMS, etc.) during critical incidents
- Operate radio systems and specialized communication equipment
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (college preferred)
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of hire
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (verified assessment required)
- No felony convictions; clean background check
- Ability to pass psychological evaluation and polygraph test
