Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls for service
- Operate radio equipment to dispatch police officers and emergency services
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Provide critical information to responding officers and other agencies
- Utilize CAD systems to track incidents and resources
- Remain calm and professional during high-stress situations
- Assist with training and development of new dispatch protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to type 35+ WPM (will be tested)
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
- U.S. citizenship and valid Missouri driver's license
- No felony convictions
- Basic computer proficiency
