Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and prioritize emergency responses with accuracy and urgency
- Operate radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and medical services
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incident reports
- Provide critical information to field units during active incidents
- Utilize CAD systems for real-time dispatching and resource management
- Remain calm under high-pressure situations while making rapid decisions
- Collaborate with multi-agency teams during large-scale emergencies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Pass criminal background check and polygraph examination
- Ability to type minimum 35 WPM with high accuracy
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must pass medical/psychological evaluation and hearing tests
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
